ABOUT ME

I’m Lisa Breslaw, owner of Gemini College Essay Services. After graduating magna cum laude from UNLV with a BA degree in history and psychology, I spent a year working as a writing tutor for the College of Southern Nevada where I discovered a passion for helping college students develop their writing skills. I then opened Gemini College Essay Services in order to offer Nevada college applicants and students the individualized writing support and encouragement they deserve.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing the piano, listening to music, and walking.

Why Gemini?

First, to clarify, I am not in any way affiliated with Gemini AI--though I am a Gemini! By using my services, you will be receiving expert writing assistance from a real person with a college degree and writing tutoring experience.

Next, instead of limiting my business to admissions essays like many college essay coaches do, I’ll review any written document related to one’s undergraduate education—even emails to professors or administrators. This is because being admitted to college is merely the first step in one’s higher education journey, and I don’t just want students admitted to college—I want them to succeed.

Finally, I charge by the word count per essay, so there’s transparency from the start. There are no hidden costs, expensive “coaching packages,” or billable hours that can quickly add up.

Services And Pricing

Services

I provide Nevada college applicants and students with detailed and constructive feedback on their written college application materials, scholarship essays, undergraduate classroom essay assignments, and nearly all undergraduate writing materials—even emails to professors/administrators . Essay feedback areas include: topic selection, relevance of essay to chosen/assigned topic, comments on organization, argumentation, style, and proofreading for spelling/grammatical errors/correct citations.

Feedback areas for other communications such as emails or resumes/cover letters will include: quality of content, etiquette, concision, how well relevant skills are highlighted, and spelling/grammar.

How the Process Works

All essays/papers/communications are submitted by email to lisa.breslaw@alumni.unlv.edu. If you are submitting and essay or class assignment, please include the essay prompt and/or assignment instructions, and I will provide my feedback and suggestions on drafts using Google Docs. If you want me to review an email commuincation, please provide some background to the situation, what the goal of the email is, along with the proposed draft of the content.

I typically reply within a day, but I will provide an estimated timeframe if I feel more time will be needed. Payment must be made in full before receiving services, and it is the client’s responsibility to meet the school’s/professor’s deadlines.
